Recruitment Fraud

It has been brought to our attention that there have recently been instances of fraudulent job offers, purporting to be from Genmab. The individuals or organizations sending these false employment offers may pose as a Genmab recruiter or representative and request personal information or funds to further the recruitment process.

Such fraudulent offers and claims are usually received via email, social media platforms, text message, phone, etc. A fraudulent offer may be in the form of an email sent from a fake email address or from a free email provider and not from an official Genmab email address. Please use extra caution while examining such an email address, as the perpetrators may misspell an official Genmab email address and/or use a slightly modified version of an official Genmab email address.

Unsuspecting applicants may be invited to participate in fake virtual or phone interviews, asked to fill out fabricated employment applications and, on occasion, have been issued fake offer letters and advance payments, all with the ultimate goal of trying to entice victims to pay money or divulge sensitive personal information.

How to Identify Recruitment Fraud

Genmab applicants are required to apply via our official company website directly to our applicant tracking system (https://careers.genmab.com/). Any action asking you to apply for a job that does not lead back to this site is likely to be fraudulent. Genmab only utilizes one domain for email accounts (example@genmab.com). Any contact by an email that does not use exactly that domain is likely to be fraudulent.

During the selection process we typically require one or more interviews that are conducted either face-to-face or virtually with employees of the company. Any offer of employment that is unsolicited and/or does not involve an interview process is likely to be fraudulent. Genmab does not ask an applicant for information related to sensitive personal information (e.g., Social Security Number), bank accounts, credit cards, or other financial accounts prior to a signed, official offer letter of employment. If you are being asked for this information earlier in the process, it is likely to be fraudulent.

As a general rule, the only open positions are displayed on the page linked from the Careers page of our official website, https://careers.genmab.com/. Please be vigilant if a position for which you are being recruited does not appear on our website.

If you believe that you have been a victim of a job offer scam involving Genmab, please report your concerns immediately to Genmab at recruitingfraud@genmab.com. If you have been defrauded or suspect identity theft as a result of an employment scam, please contact your local law enforcement agency for guidance.
